Wilson's Phalarope
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with more than 2% riparian shrubland, no clearcuts, and June precipitation (hex. min.) of 15-30 mm. Somewhat less likely to occur in hexagons with no riparian shrubland or big sage, and June precipitation less than 30 mm (hexagon minimum). The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative association with wetlands and wet shrubland, big sagebrush shrubland, topographic variation, elevation (hex. avg.), April minimum temperature (hex. max.), April precipitation (hex. med.), and-to a lesser degree-the extent of public land.
